Hope I am doing this right as I haven't used the PM before. The number of traps isn't as important as how much time you are willing to spend. If you put out 20 traps in good water and pulled them 3 times per week for a year you would likely have $5000 worth of sales to the fish house. Since you are already on the water you could set out 120 traps, pull them every 4th day and for just about twice the time and effort you would have some profit, say $15,000 net.
There are no licenses currently available and must be purchased from someone that has one. Also there are individual trap tags to buy. (this came after my time in the industry)
